Year Of The Donkey Punch

2011 is starting to look a lot like 2010. This would not be a good thing for me and in some ways is going to affect you. The hard working crew at Wonderpod got a podcast recorded. This is a vast improvement over last weeks disaster. The recording is suffering from some major issues and it isn’t pretty. The good news from fans of the podcast is we will get something out to you this week. It may not be until this weekend, but we will get you something.

The last two weeks with the podcast leaves me feeling frustrated with a touch of depression. For me personally it is pretty much par for the course. Everything I do has it’s moments of failure and I know how to deal with it. I just hate having my two co-hosts give their time and effort, only to get jack shit in return. It’s not fair to them and really makes me pissy. On top of that, this is the internet and we all know how fickle it can be. Let your podcast go a couple three weeks and the audience my find something better to do. I am pretty sure PatMan has his own set of fans and that may save us.

Back during the 2008 presidential election I heard the word change a lot. It made me chuckle a lot, as I knew that wasn’t going to happen. I saw both major parties do it, so don’t think I am singling out one or the other. Look politicians can promise change all they want, it will never happen. It’s a ploy to get you to elect them and nothing more. The reason I bring this up today is you have an opportunity to see what real change looks like. Just take a gander over to Egypt and whats going on there. Whether it ends up being change for the better or not, there is no way to tell. Still that is what it takes to change something, not lying bastards using it as a campaign slogan.

PatMan and I are almost done with the little co-op game we plan to review. The review won’t be earth shattering and it is not a top tier game. Really that isn’t the point for either of us. From my end it is the opportunity to see if I can even review a game. Having another guy to team up with makes it a little easier. Ironically before the audio disaster started I entertained the thought of doing an audio review. I think we will be passing on that option for now.

There is one thing I should put here about FPS games, since I can’t seem to get it recorded. I was not hugely impressed with the Crysis 2 demo. I was also rather underwhelmed with the COD Black op’s multi-player. My problem is I am really tired of playing the same stuff over and over again. What I want you fine readers to understand is that doesn’t make either of the games bad. I am just to the point where I need a fresh challenge and neither of these games appear to offer it. I am sure that Crysis 2 will be a bloody good time. I am still putting all my hope on Home Front and only time will tell if that was a good call.

Hey an audio review of the co-op XBLA title we are playing doesn't sound like a bad idea, if the recording software is not going to give us a head ache

I am still really bloody tempted to do it. Let's see what Audiomaster G and I are able to get done with WP 50.

  2. PatMan says:

Sounds cool, or we can do the old school posting way as well.

Saturday should be a day of resolution for the wonderpodcast. Between Bruce's and my own setups, we'll get this bad boy remixed and recorded… then we'll see if we can also resolve the Pamela issues too so things can get back to normal. Happy times will be had by all!

Diddy will be on running the mixing board (I've trained him)…
