Wonderpod Episode 127

Wonderpod is late and full of the f-bomb. The weeks show is now fortified with special ingredients. We stole them from a midget at the end of a tornado. Means from this day forward the show will be twice as awesome. Plus we bitch about the Wii U. It appears to be all the rage this week.

I am still not sure about the WiiU at launch myself. But it is NOT because of the price.
The cost is absolutely fine, for a launch price. The PS3 was over 500 bucks at launch, the iPhone 5 will cost you up to 600 bucks without a plan and its noting more than a SLIGHT improvement over the existing 4S. So obviously, the WiiU launch price is on par with all launching tech of the last generation. It is even lower than some launches. People complaining about the price of an all new console with a built in touch screen controller need to spend less time on twitter/facebook/youtube and more time working a fucking JOB. Or can people use those infamous "food stamps" in America to buy electronics, instead of getting a fucking job ? I guess, that way, they could stay online all day and bitch about stuff.

The real issue for me and for many N fans is that there is no "must have", BIG AAA title that defines the new system as something radically different from what we already own. No game that is a "OMG look at what the WiiU can really DO"! The Wii had Wii Sports, the N64 had Super Mario 64, the Wii U has " New" Mario Bros ( Part 4). ?
I am pretty sure that if I can walk into a Best Buy or Future Shop around launch time and there is actually a WiiU on the shelf I will have to pick it up. Just because it is new, and it is Nintendo. Then in the months after that , I will find myself playing Halo 4 on the 360 more than the WiiU . haha.
