Zelda 3D: Now With 2D Trailer

Normally I don’t touch the Nintendo stuff around here. That has clearly been defined as the domain of PatMan and Glasenator. They are the people you see for all things Nintendo.  My original reason for watching this trailer was the 3D/2D thing.  How would footage from a 3D game look in 2D.  Pretty damn good actually, which was a little surprising. Don’t believe me then check it out for yourself.

OoT is looking better and better on the 3ds. I do hope, however, that they make an all new Zelda, using all the 3ds processing power sometime relatively soon. Dont get me wrong, the game looks superior to the N64 version but I still would like to see what this little 3d gizmo can actually do, from scratch. After all, the original DS could output graphics on par or even slightly above the N64 with games like Mario Kart DS and Super Mario 64 DS as prime examples. So what could the new 3DS do if it was maxed out, I wonder.
Also, its nice to see the game looking so good in 2D mode for all those who cant play it in 3D for more than 10 mins without getting a headache. It doesn't bother me, but my wife seems to only be able to go about 15mins without switching to 2D,

It was kind of funny the way game trailers explained the 3D/2D thing. They almost made you feel like this footage was in 3D mode, you just couldn't tell because you were viewing it on a 2D system. I think it is more likely the game footage was in 2D mode on the 3DS. I am with you Pat they need to make a new Zelda just for the 3DS.
