Minecraft Diary Episode 2

Welcome to the second episode of the minecraft diary. When we last left our poor hero he was in a mushroom induced haze, hiding in a squalid cave. Really no different what a lot of hippies experienced at Woodstock. Join him this week to see how his adventure is going.

Day 5: I awoke feeling much better than I have in the last few days. I determined that I probably should see if I can capture a cow. For some reason they seem to be running loose all over the shire without owners. In that way I can have both food and a source of clothing. I know I said we are nudists, but there are some bloody big caucuses out there. They are hell on bare skin. Okay so my first attempt at catching a cow was a bit of a disaster. I grabbed its head and it took off running. It drug me straight into the water. I am not sure why didn’t let go. Well never mind that I got a new plan and since night is almost upon me I will try it.

The plan worked brilliantly and without me losing to much blood, skin or hair. I tricked one of the green gentleman into chasing me. I ran tight straight into a group of cows with him hot of my heels. I am still not sure why the green men explode and while its creepy it took care of my cow problem. I was fortunate enough to make it back to my cave to rest. Tomorrow I will finally scout out our town.

Day 6: Went to my cavern door and noticed a plethora of green men marching outside. It almost appeared they were protesting something. Could it be they are upset I used one of their brethren to acquire resources for me? This is quite the dilemma, I have not bee real successful at communicating with the natives. So do I got out there and try or do I just wait and see if they leave. I think I will go with a third option to run like hell straight through them. Well that didn’t work so well, they started following me. About four in total, what I really need is a bow or possible a cannon. The good news is I got them each to explode on a hill side leveling a nice site for our new colony. Now I must mine the required stone for a building.

I have set out to start mining I am working my way down in a stair step fashion. I can’t see what could possibly go wrong with this mining method. (several hours later) Upon reflection I have found out what can go wrong. First it appears the green creepy men live underground as well, along with skeletons and some kind of fleshy creature. Second there is pockets of what I guess is magma. The stuff is red, extremely hot and will burn cow hide clothes right off you. It’s a damn good thing I am a nudist otherwise the loss of clothing would be distressing. Good news is even with challenges I was able to secure a large amount of stone and some iron.

Day 7: I am now out in the woods gather logs to make items from. I am a bit confused as to how I will turn this chucks of wood into items at this point. There isn’t a saw mill or a ye olde home improvement center for miles. The elders of our group taught us that four equal size chunks of wood could be turned into a magical box. We always laughed at the elders and thought them silly with their tales of magic, but at this point I am willing to try it. I will try to form a box tonight right now I see a spider and some more string would be nice

I made it back to the cave just after dark. Good news, I got enough string now to possible construct a crude bow. Bad news I was buggered again in the process of killing the spider. It isn’t an easy choice to go with or without clothing after another round of violation. With clothing you can avoid spider buggery and cactus thorns. Without clothing you wedding tackle is free and cooled by a breeze at all times. I will have to ponder this issue further as I attempt to create the elders magic box.

Keep these up if you have the time, Im loving them even if I don't play Minecraft, which is kind of strange I think.

I got an idea will get you on the minecraft crack wagon when it comes to 360. I get the feeling the next update for the PC version may tell us a lot about how the 360 version will play. Although that is pure guess and speculation on my part.
