CoD4 is one of the best FPS of all time, right up there with the legendary Goldeneye 007(N64), Halo(X-Box)and DOOM(PC). CoD4 is the best CoD to date, and as the series seems to be going downhill with each rushed out sequel after another, I am betting it will remain the best Cod I have ever played for some time, if not for ever.
The single player was very fun, challenging and had a good story. The online multiplayer, while not a first on current gen systems, really helped start many gamer's obsessions with the online multiplayer play that they now love today.

As for 1942? I only played the very cool 1943 XBLA game with its superior visuals and the frostbite engine. Still, if it was as good as 1943 was , 1942 would be a great game and worth of any top 50 list!

Animal Crossing is a game I could never get into, and thus I do not personally like it. Not at all . And, even though many intelligent and passionate fellow gamers DID enjoy the game , I guess, I could still call it stupid and a waste of time because I personally did not. But no, doing that would make me look like an absolutely foolish troll and I would loose all future credibility for the entirety of this series as it continued.

I would really like to get back into Animal Crossing at some point in the future, but the last two incarnations did little to advance the concept. It was basically the same game over again, which is charming in a way, but at the same time I'd like to see a true Animal Crossing 2 in my lifetime.

I don't understand how there was no commentary about Battlefield 1942, yet it ranked so high…
