The Intro Outro Retro Game

All you’re getting this time is a few hints. Honestly, this should be a game you’ve played already anyway and I think the hints are fairly obvious. If not, don’t fret! I shall provide more as time goes on, so guess away!

– It’s for the SNES.
– It wasn’t mentioned in the show. Even remotely.
– It ain’t easy being green. Or orange.
– It’s a brawler, among other things.

SRD gets my No Mercy (and his, and Al's vote) right on the head. The best swan song, culmination series in a fighting game back in the day. The list continues it's legacy, and therefore makes it even better. Why? Because we are still talking about it. #AnimalCrossing

Bruce Magee, sorry brother. If we can talk retro-games and rehashes, and P-Diddy can remix a Sting song into a hit Retropod style… 🙂 You know I'm fucking with him, but No Mercy gets it's revenge (Perhaps on Seattle?). Get it?

I miss being able to take a big cheese head prop from the crowd and hit my opponent with it!

Gunsage: "Shut up, it's a videogame" on Black Toad. Mario 2 is a real videogame. Damn, I'll listen to the rest of this tomorrow… time to finish this Smackdown review…. bloody hell, it's 1:43 AM.

I just cant get that intro songs name, even though I know it….. I will give it a listen again and maybe it will come to me.
Nice to hear the top games list discussion again, it was good fun to be a part of it and it deserves more attention and discussion.

  3. SRD says:

    Battletoads?

  4. patman says:

That is what i was thinking my self, but im not 100 % sure about it.

  5. SRD says:

What do you mean which one?! They're all the same! I declare myself the goddam winner! 😛

  6. patman says:

    battle toads double dragon ??

  7. Pat-Man says:

    Super Battel toads then…

  8. gunsage says:

Alrighty, it's Battletoads in Battlemaniacs. The only reason I was clarifying is there are four Battletoads games with various derivatives. There's the original Battletoads for the NES (and GB and possibly the Genesis later), Battletoads in Battlemaniacs exclusively for the SNES (I think…there may have been a Genesis version later), Battletoads & Double Dragon (which was ported to nearly everything and totally awesome), and also an actual VIOLENT arcade Battletoads, which was somewhat different from the original series.

Interesting trivia: there was also a very much short lived Battletoads Saturday morning cartoon as well. Anyway, I'll give the ghost to SRD this time. :p
