While I intend to put some of these in Steam Roundup in the near future, I'll start with a few obvious ones. If you guys have any you'd like to add, feel free.
Agarest: Generations of War
At an initial glance, this looks like a fairly standard turn-based SRPG with interesting team attack elements and dating sim aspects from the makers of Thousand Arms. What's not to love, right? Unfortunately, there is one element that ruins this game before it even gets a chance to take off: Idea Factory. Yes, the creators of the absolutely terrible Generations of Chaos and Spectral Souls games that have been plagued with odd slowdown, load times, and all kinds of terrible design flaws felt the need to double dip their junk in this would be gem as well.
I owned this one for the 360 for a bit and honestly, I gave it a fair shake. The combat was slow, clunky, and boring. The crafting system was confusing, nonintuitive, and just plain not fun. In fact, what they advertise (the implied gratuitous sex stuffs) doesn't seem to happen until well later in the game, meaning you don't even get what you want early. Definitely give this one a pass.Statistics: Posted by gunsage — Mon Oct 21, 2013 5:49 am
