Hump day is upon us and with it the tell tale sign of zombie ferrets. They will creep out of your pants and in to the night hunting for vegemite. They are similar to tweak’s under pants Gnomes, only far more lethal. I am pretty sure that is why they call it hump day. The zombie ferrets will hump your face off if you have no vegemite.

The podcast has moved in to it’s second year and with a new year comes new goals. One of those goals is to try and keep the news segment fresh and interesting. We go fairly stale toward the end of the year and need to be more cognizant of keeping it interesting. Plus I got some subtle hints that certain news stories were not to our audience’s liking. I allow these hints to filter in to my brain and it dictates which stories I chose. The problem becomes how often do I ignore the hints. There is a metric ton of negative and business style stories out there that can be informative. I suppose since the podcast is about video games, being entertaining is the key. Some weeks that can be a difficult task. I suspect by the mid point of this year it will get easier. Until then stick with us and see what happens.

Been playing a couple old RPG’s from the Sega Master Drive collection. I enjoy revisiting the older games every now and then. It has brought certain thoughts to my attention as I play through these old gems. First, All gamers should at some point pick up and play a ten year old game. Doesn’t matter to me which genre, just go out and play one. I think it would help all gamers appreciate just how far we have come. Second it has reminded me that there were a lot of RPG’s back in the day. A lot of them are pretty obscure and hard to bring to a new audience.  Obscure titles are fun to play and good for a few hours of enjoyment. It is best to stick with well known titles for introducing someone to the genre. The key thing to remember is not how much you love a certain title. It’s how it is going to be received by the average gamer. That should not keep you from loving the old and obscure, they just may not be the best show and tell material.

I finally have an idea for a comic strip and it is actually one I can handle. The biggest problem I have right now is finding a bloody frame template. There are quite a few out there on the internet and none of them thus far are acceptable. I need one that is in PNG format that I can stick background images in. I may just give up and attempt making one myself. Keep your eyes on this fine web site as I may even post the thing. If I ever get it all put together

There was supposed to be one more short paragraph here. Detailing one of my deepest and darkest secrets. I have tried writing it four times and each time it reads like a bunch of crap. I am not talking my normal, I can live with it type crap either. Maybe that is a sign, maybe this story just isn’t ready to be told yet. I will go on nothing more than a tortured avatar, longing for the day I can finally be free of this burden. Damn you crappy writing skills, damn you I say!!!
