Our first article went up one year at precisely the same time this little tribute goes up. It was an Impact Wrestling review by yours truly, of all things.

On behalf of all involved, I’d like to thank all our regular visitors for checking out this website. I’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has contributed to this website over the year. Here’s to seeing you in 2013! Cheers!

PatMan: “What is going ON people”!?  Happy 1 year B-day/Anniversary to Wpod! The original idea started out, at least initially, as an official and reliable home to host  the great Wonderpod Video game podcast. It quickly became a very cool blog filled with web comics, video game articles, wrestling reviews, movie articles, game videos, editorials and much more, including several other podcast such as Retro Pod. In the last year Wpod has made some very cool and new friends from around the world and it has also been lucky to have many old friends from the past contributing here as well. I look forward to seeing even more friends contribute in 2012 to Wpod, both by sharing their great   and creative content on this site and also by posting exclusive Wpod content for the site as well!

From a personal stance, 2012 will more than likely feature less PatMan on both the website and the podcast as PatMan Jr. will be making his world wide release date in the first week of Feb!  Of course PatMan will still be around this fine corner of the internet.  However playing , talking about and posting articles featuring video games will be obviously taking a back seat to fatherhood and the other husband like responsibilities that come with it in 2012. Anyways , happy 1 year b-day to Wpod and I look forward to seeing how the site grows in 2012. 2011 was a fun and interesting initial year for Wpod, with a great group of posters. I cant wait to see what 2012 has in store for the wPo !

Bruce: Hello there, Bruce McGee here. Hard to believe that one year is already in the books for the website. Starting the podcast was easy. I had wanted to be a part of a video game podcast for some time before Wonderpod began and doing the show has been a fun ride. Starting the website was a much tougher call to make. I have been a part of a number of websites over the years and really had to sit back and think did I want to do it again. This first year hasn’t exactly gone like I had thought it might. That said I am very happy and proud with how the first year has gone. We have done a little over 45,000 unique page views and at least 1900 people have listened to the podcast. Small numbers by some standards to be sure, but not shabby for a group that can’t commit full time to this endeavor.

I first need to thank both PatMan and G. Two gentleman who offset my assholish tendencies very well. I of course would like to also thank anyone and everyone who took time to peruse the output of either WPO or the podcast. You guys are awesome and I appreciate each and everyone of you. Well okay that is not entirely true. There are a few running around who could fall in a well and die. See what I mean by assholish tendencies. Looking forward to 2012 and all the challenges it brings.
