Grand Theft Auto Series

GTA has been an interesting series that I’ve had a love/hate relationship with for many years. For many, when they say GTA, they’re referring to GTA3, 4, or possibly something along the line of San Andreas or Vice City. To avoid any confusion, I’m looking at the series as a whole and dishing out what I think, for better or worse.

BoredWrestlingFan Radio Episode 93

Way to make it obvious in the GIF, G.

I have no idea what happened today.  I wasn’t there.  Jorge took my place.  Brian Muller was there.  G was there.  JT was there.  And I’m pretty sure that the reason why I wasn’t there has something to with RWR’s Alice.  I hear she was on the show today.  The joke’s on her.  I’m sending a soldier from BWF to RWR tomorrow night.  You wanna find out what happened on today’s show?  I guess you’re just going to have to click the link below.  I know I will be after The Simpsons.

Final Fantasy 13 SUCKS…Also, I’m Back!

BoredWrestlingFan Radio Episode 92

Hilarious.

Jorge misses another episode, and is portrayed by JT in the various “BoredWrestlingFan Theatre” segments throughout the show.  We have connection problems throughout the show.  We discuss  Night of Champions, RAW, ROH (and Death Before Dishonor), IMPACT, and SmackDown.  Sunny works the dirtsheets, Duke “The Dumpster” Drose gets arrested, and Kevin Nash rips Impact.  What does the future hold for BJ Whitmer?  Why is Triple H comparing WWE to Disney?  Why is Jeff Jarrett taking a more active role backstage with TNA?  Why do I keep asking you?  Find out the answers to most of these by clicking the link below and listening to the show for yourself!  Tune in!

BoredWrestlingFan Radio Episode 92 (MP3, 2:07:44)

This week’s break song was Middle Means by Cyril Rufus.  Which I can’t seem to find a link to purchase.  So…  Sorry.

A special happy birthday to our friend, Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge, who I’m fairly certain was the guy behind the announcers with his team on RAW this past Monday.  Congrats on beating the Vikings, my friend!

Wonderpod Episode 176

This week’s Wonderpod contains three elements. Two hosts, adult beverages and video game topics. You read that right, we recorded another drunkcast. We had to hold off recording until Friday. So we figured adding booze to the mix was the right call for such a show. You the listeners will have to tell us if its better with booze or without.

This week’s break song is so shocking that Brian sat there with his jaw on the floor the entire time.  Listen to the episode to find out what it is.

Smackdown 09/13/13

Here we are for a go home Smackdown before Night of Champions. There’s very few matches announced for the PPV, however. Let’s see if they add a couple more at the last minute, or choose to do that unannounced on Sunday. Seriously, this is not the way to garner a buy rate, WWE. Do you think you’re TNA now, or something? Sheesh. I’m not wasting time with irrelavant matches tonight

Wonderpod Episode 175

Wonderpod is ready, willing and able. We got a good mix of topics and discussions this week. A well rounded show with all three casts members present and accounted for. Good thing, given the surprises and shocking revelations we plan to unleash before October. Spoilers: One of us is pregnant. It is possible I have just had to much coffee, far to late at night.

BoredHockeyFan.com Review: NHL ’14 by EA Sports

This review originally appeared on my hockey blog, BoredHockeyFan.com, but it extends to Wonderpod due to it being a video game review.  If you’re in to the NHL, please check out our site!

In 1991, EA Sports brought the NHL to life in video game form with the release of NHL Hockey for the Sega Genesis.  In 1993, the company released what is still widely considered to be the best sports game of all time, NHL ’94.  Twenty years later, the company is still churning out one of – if not the – best sports games of the year with the NHL series, and this Tuesday they release the latest edition, NHL ’14.

BoredWrestlingFan Radio Episode 90

All we need is just a little patience.

Jorge doesn’t make the show, which normally leads to a shorter show where we get everything in.  This week, however, Brian Lee Muller re-joins the crew, and we don’t even get to show reviews (which you can read on BoredWrestlingFan.com anyway, slackers).  A philosophical discussion on the value of the World Heavyweight Championship breaks out in the first hour, as well as Joe and Brian being distracted by NFL football on the studio television.  We call Jorge to find out why he didn’t make the show.  JT plays Jorge’s role in this week’s BoredWrestlingFan Theatre.  In the news, two ROH stars impress WWE officials at a recent tryout, Dixie Carter talks with our friends at Ministry of Slam about recent TNA cuts, Lanny Poffo gives WWE “permission” to induct “Macho Man” Randy Savage into the Hall of Fame, Tyson Kidd and Zema Ion return to their respective companies over the weekend, and the IOC has announced that wrestling will return to the Olympics in 2020 and 2024.  All this and much more – plus we’re now available on Stitcher!  Tune in!
