Minecraft Road Trip Episode 1

Hello there fine people of Wonderpod-Online.  I have undertaken a little journey with one of my minecraft worlds. I was first going to do this as a screen shot post.  After watching Glasenator’s video yesterday I got inspired and scrapped that post in favor of a video. This video is not as good as in game capture, but I will work on it as the series rolls along. Basically I am using torch marked roads to travel all over the world.  Each week I will put together a montage of the work I did building the road. Enjoy the first episode.

Cool. I look forward to your continuing adventures.

Ha I ran in to a slight problem this morning. My roads are about to loop back on to each other. I have a vast ocean in one direction or I got loop the road back and pick a new direction. EP 2 should be interesting.

  2. Glasenator says:

    Ocean! Make a big bridge.

    • Bruce McGee says:

That may be a future episode. I have a bridge coming up in the next video. I have solved my problem from this morning. The way it looks now by the time I get bored with this series, there will be roads everywhere.

A guy I work at night with said he managed to build a base that floats on a lake. That made me wonder about water monsters…

    • Bruce McGee says:

I am not sure how he would make it float. Never tired it. The only thing I know that floats for sure is the boat. The only way a base surrounded with water will be totally safe is if it is far enough from another land mass. all the mobs can swim and they will most like spawn right with you if the base is big enough.

      • G says:

I asked him how he did it, and this is the response:

"have to build it on something, then remove whatever holds it up, dirt and cobblestone can be held up by something horizontal to them as well, so you just have to build a bridge or something to where you want your stuff"

I am going to ask this again…..can you go to other peoples worlds?

In other words can Galsenator and Bruce go to each others houses/ towers, stuff?

If yeas it would be a good cross-over for the future of both your series!

Currently we are both playing single player so no. If we both played on the same multiplayer server we could work together and visit each other. Glasenator is looking into finding us a multiplayer server. I know of two right now that I will explore this week some time. The coolest would be if we could set up our own private server so just the Wonderpod crew could play together.
