I am betting that as gamers we all have spent countless hours adventuring, platforming ,grinding and fighting our way towards one single goal. That goal, of course, is saving a princess from captivity. Games like Dragon’s Lair, Zelda and of course Super Mario come to mind right away but there have been countless others with the same classic objective. The thing is as we are gaming away , passing level after level, have we ever actually wondered what exactly is going on inside the mind of the captive Princess ? What is our trapped Princess actually wondering? What does she experience as we get closer to saving her? Well wonder no more! The developers of Hope: The Other Side Of Adventure have created an app that allows you to experience exactly what a trapped princess might be experiencing during an old school video game. It is an interesting and unique take on action/adventure/platform games of the past. And you need to check it out. However, you need to understand one thing about Hope. It is not really a “game” as we would traditionally understand one to be. You don’t really “play” very much at all. You can only move around a bit a tower cell , cry and moan. That is it. However, over the course of five days, Hope: The Other Side Of Adventure becomes more like an interactive story where you learn what is going on in the mind of the captive Princess. This game is very unique , it is interesting and during the course of the next 5 days it will only take up less than 5 mins of your life. So, go download this title right now while it is free, check out a few screens below, and I will see you all on the flip side!
It sounded like an interesting idea, but it falls flat on its face. The graphical sections with the princess are slow and jerky and the text has not been proof-read (my phone keeps telling me the “price” has passed Green Hill stage) – it does this day after day even though he has supposedly passed different sections. I feel obliged to follow it through to its conclusion to ensure there isn’t a hidden gem.
Sadly, we uploaded a beta version and publish it by mistake. :S All these issues will be corrected on the final version! Sorry for the trouble fella!
The game crashes on the last day, so I never got to see what happened? But, if it was the beta version that explains why. I look forward to the end of the story/game Mr. Roboto, when it is ready
