Tuesday morning, almost the end of January. Where did the bloody month go already. I know where it went, work and video games. Speaking of video games, Both the Bullet Storm and Crysis 2 demos drop today. I will be playing both and might even give you an impressions post or something. On top of that PatMan and I have been working through a co-op game. Good things are coming to Wonderpod-Online here soon.
There are a lot of times I will use this format to put down thoughts I have mentioned before. By that I mean things I have said on the podcast that I want in a text format. Today I am going to ramble about video game reviews. I am so sick and tired of people whining about them. When a reviewer sits down to write a review, my hope is that they give us an honest opinion and be done with it. In the last two years I have seen to many sham scores given and there are a number of reasons why. Developer pressures, fan pressure and reviewers just being cowards. There are reviewers out there who still give an honest opinion and that is a reason for hope. Still if you watch the abuse they suffer for being honest it isn’t hard to figure out why some have taken the path of least resistance. Oh and just for the bloody record. It is one through ten, not seven through ten you cowards.
I talked about demos in my opening and I got each of the ones mentioned for different reasons. I downloaded Bullet Storm as it isn’t a game that gets me excited just reading news. Maybe the demo will make me more excited for the title. Being a smart ass I told Pat, that it was Cliffy B’s take on Duke Nukem. I am pretty sure that isn’t true, but it may be a bit to over the top for my taste. Crysis 2 on the other hand concerns me for a far different reason. I am reading things that impress me about the multi player, there is no denying that. One of my concerns though, is do I really need another COD type shooter even if its a bit more like Halo? The other concern is that Home Front isn’t going to get a fair shot with Crysis 2 dropping in the same month. I am far more excited about Home Front and want to see it do well. To a point Crysis is the same shit we have played a hundred times before. Don’t get me wrong, being a shooter whore I will probably buy it. I would much rather the Wonderpod crew got in to Home Front instead. A man can dream
People say that human on human violence is the worst thing possible. Apparently those people have never experienced cow on human violence or horse on human etc. Granted most farm animals don’t have guns but I swear a few of them pack knives. I am aware that humans are far more devious and cruel. Power wise though there isn’t a human on this planet that can do the damage an angry bull can. Actually horses are probably the worst. The power and force they can put in to their rear legs can kill a man without much trouble. In other words, boom head shot. My point is, always thank the guys and gals who put food on your table. Sure humans are nasty and violent, but they aren’t the only ones. I got the scars to prove it
Ha and that has been this weeks video game reviews brought to you by farmer Bill. This morning ramble post may never be popular, but it is a hell of a lot of fun to write. Where else can I switch subjects that fast and get away with it.
Yeah! Exactly video games are best and good in order to entertain ourselves. Video games divert our mind from busy hours to happiest memories that I spend with our siblings and family members. I read this article and know much about the importance of video games and soft wares.
