PatMan Picks Free iPhone Games. Fairune

So, it is the weekend and we have all survived another week at work, time to unwind and what better way than with another FREE iPhone game. This time its a fun little old school inspired 2D, retro /action/ puzzler/ adventure game by the name of Fairune. If you played games back in “the day” that this title is inspired by you are in for a nice  walk down memory lane. If not , well now it is your chance to experience a taste of old school for free on your mobile device of choice!  The game is also out on Android, not sure if it is free or not, but Android users should check it out none the less. Below you will find the trailer for Fairune  that you need to check out. I am pretty early into it myself to say if it will really last on my iPhone for very long, but you know the drill people….. If it’s FREE  it’s for ME!  Have fun playing all the free mobile games and see you all on the flip side!

Smackdown 04/05/13: CLIP SHOW FOR ALL!

The only new content on this show was taped around RAW this week, and the rest will likely be all hype, zombie attacks and video packages towards Mania. Hence, this review should be really short. Probably like one jump. Not even hopping, just hop. Now get to it and click that hyperlink below…

That’s what it’s called.

Wonderpod Episode 153

As the banner implies we got a real mixed bag of topics this week. We talk some gaming, some tech stuff and a bit of sad news. Combine that with our standard rambling and tangents. Stir that all together and you get another fine episode of Wonderpod.

Watch The Familiar Yet Impressive First 5 Mins Of Oceanhorn on iOS.

While I’m a fan of iPhone games, especially the cheap price tags they come with, I usually don’t watch  upcoming games with any anticipation as they are being developed. Oceanhorn however, is an exception. The game just looks gorgeous and although it borrows a LOT from the Legend of Zelda games that’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially considering we won’t be getting any Zelda games on iOS now will we? Oceanhorn is coming along very nicely and the developers have just released the first five minutes of the game for us to drool over. I would have personally preferred a trailer showing more of the action ,exploration and adventure that is in the game rather than just the first 5 mins of random gameplay, but I wont complain too much as it still looks very impressive. Later in the video it even shows off a very “familiar looking ” sailing game play experience.  While I’m well-known for waiting for iOS games to go free or at the very least reduced in price , I just might pick up Oceanhorn on the first day of release.  What do you guys think of  Oceanhorn and the the first 5 mins?

The Thrilling Conclusion of BoredWrestlingFan Radio 68

A few days ago, the BoredWrestlingFan staff brought you their WrestleMania predictions podcast featuring Brian Muller of Lost Elysium and Gary Barnidge of the Cleveland Browns.  It was brought to my attention that the advertised time of the podcast did not match the length of the MP3 that accompanied it.  Upon further review, the ending was somehow cut off.  Rather than fix the MP3 that was already available, I have decided to add the complete discussion of the WWE Championship match between The Rock and John Cena, and the ending to the show, as a separate file.  Mostly so iTunes would pick it up.  So.  Enjoy.

Happy Easter Wonderpodians!!

Well well, Easter has reared it’s head yet again. Whether you understand it, or agree with the religious implications, one thing is for certain – CHOCOLATE EGGS.

Here in the UK and i’m sure, other parts of the world, there is an Easter treat known as a Cadburys Creme Egg. These are the size of a regular chicken egg and consist of a chocolate surrounding with a creamy filling.

I’m a big fan of these things and when I open my larger hollow Easter eggs I always wonder why they don’t make a Creme Egg this big. Around 3am on a Wednesday night last week I took matters into my own hands and sorted it out. There is some balance in the world again. In my world at least.

I emptied nearly sixty Creme Eggs into a regular Easter egg and recorded the process. Here it is;

Happy Easter one and all!

Smackdown 03/29/13

You would have thought that the WWE would have promoted the fact that the Rock was appearing on Smackdown tonight. Nope. They kind of forgot to do that. Yet they spoil other outcomes on the same program on their website. Weird. I mean it’s Smackdown, it’s not like we’re getting a surprise return or anything either… right? Something about hopping time.

PatMan Picks Free iPhone Games. Frontline Commando: D-Day

Once again I have stumbled across a very nice looking and decently controlling mobile game that won’t cost you anything. It is called “Frontline Commando D Day”, and not only is it available on iOS, but our friends with androids can join the fun as well this time ! About 3 or 4 years ago I probably wouldn’t of even played this game, to be honest. That was a time when World War II shooters were supersaturated in the video game market and I was totally sick of them. But now it seems modern-day shooters have taken over everywhere you look as the shooter type pf choice. So, returning back to World War II is definitely less painful, especially because it’s  you know,  absolutely FREE. As you will see in my in game screen shots below there is plenty of shooting to be done in this game and plenty of weapons at your disposal.  Now the game does have micro transactions if all these guns are just not enough for you.  If you want to pay real money you can go ahead and buy some overpowered guns that will make you finish the game with no real challenge , if your a big pussy that is.  Me, I’ve progressed pretty far without paying any money in this  fun little shooter , to be honest.  So check out some of my screenshots below ,as usual , and I’ll see you all on the flip-side!   Remember,  If it’s free it’s for ME!

PatMan Picks Free iPhone games. Sonic Dash.

What is going on people? PatMan is back and, of course, that means the FREE iOS game picks are back as well. This time a new runner with a very famous character has gone free for a limited time. That famous character is the one and only Sonic and the game is called Sonic Dash. Not to be confused with Sonic Jump which was out a few months ago, Sonic Dash is a game much more up the famous speedsters alley. While jumping around your iPhone using Sonic was OK , obviously we want a Sonic game where he is running like hell, right?  I mean that’s what Sonic is famous for. Have no fear, Sonic Dash is just that game. Sure, the  “endless running games” are a dime a dozen these days, but what character other than Sonic would be a perfect match for a game like this? No character, that’s who. So go download this free iOS title while you can and check out the game play trailer below. See you all on the flip side! Oh yeah one more thing…….     SEGA !!!!!
