The month of March is almost over. The outlook for work outside the office is picking up and soon the hockey playoffs will be upon us. I always enjoy the months of April and May. Lots to do and plenty to write about. Well that is my theory anyway, well see how it goes.
Speaking of the end of March you fine readers of Wonderpod-Online are going to see a lot of articles on wrestling this week. Wrestlemania is this coming Sunday so were getting the spirit around here. Along with our benevolent overlords and Board Wrestling Fan. Even though I gave up watching wrestling several years back I am looking forward to see what comes out this week. While I have been given an idea of whats on tap I don’t know the intimate details I like being surprised along with our readers. Unlike our resident database voyeur who shall remain nameless.
I have seen some different stories around the internet about the superior version of battlefield 3 being on PC. This claim is based on the fact that PC multiplayer will support 64 player matches as compared to only 24 player matches for consoles. I have to be honest, I am not concerned with amount of players in the console version. Something tells me that part of Homefront’s problem might be due to match size. They are trying to run 32 players on some game types. While I know number of players isn’t the root cause of Homefronts online issues, it might be a contributing factor. the news that the console maps will be smaller than the PC, does bother me quite a bit. I do not want COD sized maps in my bloody multiplayer. I understand that the consoles can’t handle the monsters PC can, that makes sense. They better be Battlefield Company 2 sized or it just won’t be a Battlefield game.
Finished up Just Cause 2 yesterday. Well I finished the main storyline and all the side missions. The more I played it the more I became confident that I had purchased it at the right price. I might of given 40 dollars for the game, but not 60. In the end it felt a lot like the original Crackdown to me. Again I am talking of my feeling while playing it. It also felt like a lot of other open world games I have played in the last few months. In that regard Saboteur was better and more fun than Just Cause 2. If you like open world games and have 25 dollars laying around I would recommend it. It is a good time waster.
I have been toying with the idea of getting a pocket HD camcorder. While I have some non-internet uses for it, I am also thinking trying an original video series. I want to take it a step up from the screen shot fest that was the minecraft road trip. Here’s my problem, I am one hideous mother fucker and have no intention of sticking myself on camera. I make the Phantom of the Opera look like Brad Pitt by comparison. So now I am trying to figure out just what exactly I can do that will be entertaining and can be sustained for many episodes. I guess what I need is a gimmick or hook to work with. If you got any ideas no matter how silly feel free to throw them at me. Caution, first person to suggest a hump and a gimp mask gets throat punched with a semi truck.
A pink cowboy hat with a big blue feather and some very nice plaid shirts will make you look great on your upcoming video series, IMO.
If you dont have a pink cowboy hat I can fedEx you my Moms Stampede one.
You know funnily enough I had one for a short time back in the 90's. A guy I traveled with at rodeos bet me 50 bucks I wouldn't wear it at the rodeo the next day. he bought it and I wore it. Mind you this was long before tough enough to wear pink and think pink. Both great causes, I recall getting a lot of shit that day. Afterwards I kept the hat and I either lost it in many of my moves at the time or gave it to a girl.
Either is plausible, I am also getting a vague recollection of women wearing them at Stampede, do they sell them at the rodeo or is it just my memory.
