This is not an ARG and we are not Valve. We are Wonderpod and we have a new episode for you ear holes. This week we did all the normal things you have come to expect. The end of the show went a little off the rails in a good way. One listener even gets a request to help PatMan out.
Discussion topic is all about free to play.
Survivorman G has got one more for the nostalgia pile.
There are theories why we haven’t seen Half Life 2 Episode 3.
Video game music gets a Grammy category. I ask does it matter.
We detail the features of Steam on the PS3
What I missed was big this week.
We try to create a new meme in honor of Portal 2 and learn shocking things about PatMan.
The podcast is a lie.
Good ep! Glad to hear the cousin is still kicking, the family misses him dearly, but we did dig the Double Dragon break down by the crew. It was a total favorite of my brother and I, who played it all over the place as a rule for years. We had a good tandem going in it, it was all about throwing down back-elbows, and snagging the weapons. We used to bicker about who got the weapon and had a habit of trying to steal the other guys kill's dropped whip, gun, etc.
I didn't really get too far or into Portal myself, had borrowed the Orange Box by a friend who literally pushed it on me when I mentioned how much I enjoyed Half-Life 2. Gravity gun for life! I too await the sequel. And like Bruce, I totally don't buy the explanation. I can see that coding is coding… but when you get into specialties, you are going to go with specialists. If they have a pool who is that skilled on game design and run Steam… really? And oh… I'd rather see a L4D3 first! Ha ha!
Anyways, Portal was interesting, to say the least. Novel game, but I was distracted by a bunch of other games while I had it, and then eventually gave it back after months. My Dad liked it, which is cool. We just got him into shooters over the last few years too.
