Time for another entry in the minecraft diary series. We last left our stalwart adventurer trying to construct a magical box. What could possibly be in store for us this time out?
Day 15: I really haven’t had much luck as of late. In fact I haven’t even bothered to record my progress in about eight days. In that time I have crafted rudimentary tools and supplies. The magic box is real and works quite well. I believe I am finally ready to start work on our new home, it will be named Prawnville. Fitting since we hail from Prawnington in the old country . The first thing I need is a better shop for making tools and I have plenty of split stone for the task.
I got up two walls today. Some time soon I should be able to erect the other two and cap it off with a roof. Speaking of erect, I hope the rest of the colonists arrive soon. I am really missing Gwendoline very much right now. I will sustain myself with mental images and this nifty slime I found while out scouting the other day. Enough of my private fantasies I must rest now.
Day 16: It is really optimal if your clean the slime off immediately after use. This stuff is like porridge that has been left in the sun for a week. Now to finish constructing my walls. (twenty minutes later) Oh this wicked land may never be tame. Some time during the night the creeper (I totally named them) bastard’s blasted one of my walls down. Good thing I hadn’t put in any bloody windows yet. No matter plenty of day left to get work done.
I have finished all but the roof on my first building. I almost worked to late tonight and I am pretty sure I was followed. Perhaps lighting some fires around my town site tomorrow would be a solution to this problem. First I will worry about setting a door in place and then the roof.
Day 17: Here is what I want to know? How did one of the creeper green men get inside a building that has no door and is fairly tall? I no more than made my first hole for a door way and boom!!!. I was thrown back a good dozen paces. I decided that this episode will not deter me. I will now install double doors in my structure. Once that is finished time to set a few fire pits around to make me more secure at night.
Good news, bad news time is at hand. First the good news, my first structure is up and appears water tight. I intend to spend the night in here and move all my stuff from the cave come morning. Now the bad news is very grave indeed. My plan of safety fires has gone horribly wrong. I did not dig one of the pits deep enough and the fire spread to some nearby trees. From what I can see, it appears to be burning a number of trees that will be needed in the future. Not much I can do about it now unless I wanted to invent a bulldozer. I’m not even sure what that is, time for sleep
Day:18 I woke to a sight even worse then the fires of the previous evening. I currently have two creeper’s and several spiders surrounding my shop. I am under siege and unsure what I should do at this point. I am going to try and get to the roof and put my bow to good use. I just hope the spiders can’t climb very high.
