Wonderpod Episode 78

Another Friday has arrived and with it a new episode of Wonderpod. I am positive this is only podcast in existence that hates pants. If your not sure what I mean then you need to listen to the show. All will be explained as foretold in the prophecy. We also talked about video games and other electronic devices. Wonder if that means we can now review things that vibrate.

Games we’ve been playing turns into anatomy we’ve been flashing.

Discussion topic: A game idea is debated back and forth. (fun stuff)

Audiomaster G called us all prison bitches. He asked us a question about video games in prisons.

Dice doesn’t want to involve civilians. Shooting civilians bad!!!!

Good episode, as per usual. Good answers to the poised question, I thought that was one that was worth a look as it teetered on a number of elements of video game culture and societal issues.

I caught this on the usual Friday night shift of eternity, but wanted to make a couple comments towards Mr. Jonkind. First, nice little reference to the CM Punk comment to Colt Cabana. I caught that one, kudos! And, I have played both Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Castlevania: Lords of Shadows from start to finish. If you like Assassin's Creed 2, you will NOT be disappointed with the sequel. It picks up where it left off, and I feel is more elaborate and in depth in story and action. My only knock on it, is that it might be too easy. But it's fun as hell, and the parkour style is really smooth in this installment.

Castlevania is a fun ride. There are some moments that are a little frustrating, but that comes with the territory of the series. I've heard a lot of complaints about "back tracking" for this game. I disagree. There is some, but much of it is unnecessary. I look at that criticism as fairly unfair, and it's for the completionist mentality of gamer. If you want to do it, go for it. It's certainly worth a look at game guides near the end as to what is located where so if you bother with backtracking, that you get boosts worth your time (e.g. Health and Mana over Dagger/Fairy capacity). And this one actually has a pretty good story as well. Very under-rated game IMO.

Traditionally Castlevainia games have backtracking, so I see no reason why at this stage of the franchise long existence that people are complaining about it. But people love to bitch, I suppose. It would be like saying metroid has too much back tracking.

As for your question G man, nice choice and good music clips btw!
