Minecraft Diary: EP 1

I am starting a new series, mostly because I can. This will be a diary of my minecraft single player experiences, told with my flair for weird and twisted. Meaning you take one part Sandy Toaster Pant’s plus one part video game. You end up with a nice and hopefully funny little diary of sorts. Nothing as spine tingling as Anne Frank mind you, but a diary all the same. Enjoy episode one of the minecraft diary.

Carmageddon Is Back Baby!!

Man I loved the original Carmageddon back in the day. I never played the second one as I could of cared less about it. I was still to busy running old ladies down in the first one.  While I am not sure calling this a racing game is entriely appropriate, there is racing involved.  According to blogs everywhere including CVG, there will be a new Carmageddon coming out in 2012 for digital release.  The even better news is the original developer Stainless Games is the group creating the game.

It appears the crew at Stainless Games intends to make sure this version of the game has all the black humor and violent racing that the others had. Now if that is the case I imagine I will lose just as many hours playing this downloadable version as I did playing the original.  It is definitely something I will keep my eye on as we head towards 2012.

Dungeon Siege III: Demo Impressions

When I heard there was going to be a third Dungeon Siege, I knew it was a game I wanted to keep an eye on. I played the first one upon release in 2002 and really liked it. Yes, it had some flaws, but overall it was a good RPG that I spent a lot of hours with. Sadly I was without the means or computer to play the second one. So when a demo for the third popped up on XBL this morning I made sure to download and play it. All for you fine readers, all for you.

COD Elite: Trailer/Walk Through

Okay so in the last 24 hours I watched a bunch of hilarious rumors, insults and accusations hurled around about this service. Basically this trailer will explain to you what the new COD Elite feature is going to be all about. Personally I have no opinion on this. In fact I need to finish posting this trailer as my Dungeon Siege 3 demo just finished downloading. Oh and if this video isn’t enough info for you. Check out this preview from the fine folks at Destructoid. Oh and as usual I snagged this off gametrailers

RAW: 05/30/11. Little Jimmy’s Dad Should Not Eat Milk Duds.

Hey hey! Turns out Alykat couldn’t make it tonight, and ThinkSoJoE has had a fun, but long week getting married and whatnot. And it turns out that I was at the right place at the right time to put up a RAW review for you fine people. I have to note in advance, I wasn’t planning on doing this and prepared to go live. Good thing the WWE was not either, as our opening segment was kind of screwed up. At the end of the article, I’ll post the latest Power Poll results which I’ve neglected due to Savage’s passing just making me sad.

Watch 20 Mins Of Dead Island Gameplay And You May Be Hooked.

A couple days ago a video with 20 Mins of uninterrupted gameplay for Dead Island surfaced on youtube. While much of this game play has been seen in one form or another , usually with developers talking over the action, this time around its a uninterrupted preview of what to expect when the game ships. And, to be honest, it has me impressed. I will be the first to tell you that Zombies have been milked to death int he last 3 or so years in the video game world, yet still am very interested in Dead island as it looks like it could be one of the best Zombie survival games ever. Hopefully the game will turn out to be great fun in both single player and co-op and for now, watch 19 mins  and 22 sec of  Dead Island. You may end up as impressed as I was after watching.

New Gears Of War 3 Campaign Trailer Continues The Hype

Looks like one of the most anticipated games this year by many gamers is Gears Of War 3. And why not, when you think about it. Its one of the most gorgeous looking games ever seen on a console, action packed, gory and has many online co-op and competitive modes. Looks like the third time around for this franchise will be no different from the first 2, which for GOW fans is all they need to hear to start marking their calendars. Im personally a fan of the Horde mode that was introduced in GOW2 and can wait to try out the next version of it this September. As for the Campaign, which is what the trailer shows off? It looks good enough for me and with co-op should be good fun. Check out the trailer below ! Get your curb stomping, chainsaw slicing skills ready for September 20th!

PatMan Picks- Stampede Wrestling Favorite Matches. Part 1.

Welcome to what may, or may not, become a semi regular feature here at wPo. As you all should know by now both Audio Master G and my self have grown up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The home of Stampede Wrestling. In our popular  1 time podcast, ” two man reviews, Stampede Wrestling”  we talked about our personal encounters with all sorts of larger than life Stampede superstars such as Bret Hart, The British Bulldog, Bad News Brown, Chris Benoit and others along with some of our favorite Wrestlemania moments staring Stampede alumni. So, I decided to give the little promotion that starred so many talented wrestlers  a little more love . There are many wrestlers and many matches to choose from featuring  larger than life stars either before they became famous Im places such as the WWF, WCW, NWA, AWA or after when they returned back to their roots in Calgary. For those that somehow missed G and myself talking about all these memories and wrestler encounters in the past, check out our podcast right here at wPo.   https://wonderpodonline.com/?p=2533

And now on to my first pick, Dynamite Kid Vs Owen Hart. ” Street fight to a finish”. This took place after the British Bulldogs first run in the WWF where they became world tag champs and after Dynamites heel turn on Davey Boy smith upon the teams return to the Stampede promotion, which resulted in the break up of the Bulldogs. If you have never seen Dynamite outside of the WWF, you will notice that he is ” off the juice” in this match as this was nearing the end of his career due to many injuries. Worth noting at ringside  is Ed Whalen handcuffed to some little arab heel manager ( forgot his name) and also worth noting is the multiple run ins by the” British Bruiser” Jonny Smith, Davey Boys cousin who also turned heel, so that Davey Boy and Owen would have a pair of heels to work with in this story line. Sit back and enjoy the 6 min video of some classic Stampede Wrestling action. See you next time. Let me know what you think of the feature.
