Well hello there, did you miss us? That’s right Wonderpod is back and slightly better than two weeks ago. We had another episode 50 moment and well shit happens. We think we got the problem sorted for good this time. So we gathered last night and talked about video games. I was very tired during the show and I think that made it better. Let’s see if you agree.
Debate topic is about lawsuits to a certain extent.
Survivorman G has a question and it was one we didn’t get last week. (oops)
We discuss the further adventures of West and Zampella versus Activision.
The xbox 360 development kit is getting cheaper. We react
The boss at Gear Box talks multi player
Sony President says prices don’t make or break a platform. We kind of agree, maybe.
What I missed got missed. (again tired)
This turned out good!
I don't mind the lawsuit conversations. Not at all, you guys tend to fill me in on stuff I'd like to hear about, but never come across outside the podcast. I think in the case of the COD franchise, I have to think that getting any money owed, AND moving on using the cash to fund a completely new title would be ideal if I was in their position. Get money owed, use that money to one-up where it came from… Thoughts on that possibility?
Dug the response for the video games, albeit I never got to try out the Sumo match from the Zelda franchise. That's pretty cool, actually. Nice twist for Link.
Both Pat and Bruce's answers are indeed my favorite two games. Classic NES and the last in the line of the WWF/WCW N64 era of games. No Mercy was the best, because it had a very large storyline from a strong period for the WWF. And, with all the multiplayer match modes, and CAW abilities… what a sick game. My bro and I would swap CAWS for a couple years keeping the roster up to date. It had ALL the WCW and ECW moves and costumes, so you could make pretty much anybody.
@G – Bruce has done a REALLY good job in pacing out the politics &lawsuits of behind the scenes video gaming with actual videogame and console news this year, thats for sure.I think a combination of both sides is important and it leads to a good flowing show, like this one turned out to be. At some times last year I would have to agree with listeners like iPinch, Carlos, and Woytec who all told me that there was a little too much negative politics & suits and not enough actual videogame talk, for a videogame podcast. But this year, Bruce seems to be hitting it pretty right on!
Glad you liked our Wrestling responses G Man. The Sumo wrestling that happens in Twilight Princess is an interesting take from Glasenator as well.I actually didn't like that part of the game because of its emphasis on motion control. I wonder when a 3D wrestling game will come out on the 3DS, or one with optional Kinect compatibility so you could create your own entrances with your characters! The future of Wrestling games might be cool!
I am really intrigued by the possibilities of combining 3D tech with motion-tech. Whether it's wrestling, shooters, RTS, or MMO… it doesn't matter, all genres of games could create really impressive takes on the current generation of gaming! It's going to be really awesome when it comes to the potential. I can't wait! One day I can hide outside the ring (see: my couch) and sneak up on Starman and hit a stunner! BAH GAWD!
Stun them all!
Stun them all!
