Hold onto your pants lest I come relieve you of them, it’s time for more Retropod! We’ve been suspiciously absent lately, and for good reason I assure you. Read and listen on!

The Intro Outro Retro Game

This week I’ll be breaking tradition just a bit to throw on some tracks that SRD has recommended. The rule to be broken is that this week instead of the game being something totally not mentioned in the Games Mentioned list, it already HAS been mentioned. This should make it easier to guess, so for now, no hints, but I will start to provide them if you feel it’s too difficult.

Ha ha ha! Survivor Naut Gunsage!! Casey Jones did carry around some golf clubs in that bag of tricks, but cricket is pretty good answer. I don’t think Jones could skate. 🙂

Super Mario Cross over is here (They’ve added Sophia III from Blaster Master since GS’s last check in): http://www.explodingrabbit.com/games/super-mario-

FOR SHAME SRD, NO BIONIC COMMANDO!! 🙂 I saved up money for almost a half a year for it. Yeah, the lack of a save feature or password was a pain. You had to leave that NES on overnight to win the SOB. The bionic arm was great.

If it looks fun, it’s worth a chance… every time! 🙂

Mortal Kombat banhammered SRD and his brother by the parents? :(.

You guys had meal cards? Wow. In Canucklehead land, we just brought our lunches from K through 12. That’s pretty different from my experience. Huh…

The saving money story was rather funny, see Bionic Commando. I don’t think my parents ever realized the epic violence was fantastic when I was a lad. It was like G.I. Joe except bullets hit people.

  2. SRD says:

I remember almost none of this.

  3. Gunneth O'Sage says:

Really? No one's guessing at the intro/outro? Come on!

  4. PatMan says:

I will give this a listen this weekend!

  5. PatMan says:

Finished listening to it as it was a short show this week. Good episode guys keep up the good work and I hope the next retropod has less issues and is out a little faster next time for our retro listening ears !

  6. Gunneth O'Sage says:

Nobody wants to play the intro/outro game? I am saddened.

  8. PatMan says:

I am trying to remember the game, I can almost pick it out, at least I think I can… this one if a tough one Mr Gunsage.

  9. gunsage says:

It's not so tough. Here's a hint. The game involves a small child and a hideous alien from another world that is able to transmute himself upon obtaining sucrose. Lots of puzzle platforming stuff, too.

  10. _G_ says:

Ahh, so it's a Boy and his Blob then. Or so I would guess, not as familiar with the soundtrack of that one as I would like to be. Great game.

  11. gunsage says:

G takes the gold! Or…gil? Rupees? GP? Something.
