BWF Radio Episode 44

ThinkSoJoE, JT, G, and Jorge return!  Joe’s SmackDown shenanigans continue (at least according to G), and pistol-whippings ensue!  Discussed this week are Sunny’s recent string of arrests, Hulk Hogan’s sex tape, and a war of words between Ryback and Goldberg.  We ponder the whereabouts of Christian, discuss the desire to watch Bound For Glory, and question TNA’s booking.  And of course, we discuss CM Punk striking a fan on RAW, discussing whether or not wrestlers should be allowed into the stands.  Take a listen at the following link!

Smackdown 10/12/12: MC Entire Drew

Hey Meltzer! What did you think about Smackdown this week? Are you EVEN Dave Meltzer?

As clear and concise as always… 🙂

Well, I guess I better figure out what happened myself. Figured I should use the two LOLZ I made this week for something other than making people smile on facebook, no? Hopping time!

That is the great thing about doing a show once a week, you’ll never know what your going to get.

He-Man Returns On iOS. But Does He Still Have The Power?

OK so I grew up watching He-Man and the Master of the Universe. I loved the cartoon, even if it was kind of cheesy. I had, no, I still have many of the action figures and toys today. All put away, all waiting for a certain little mini PatMan to discover in the years to come. He-Man was really the first of the big toy line cartoons that would be all over TV in the 80’s. It was before GI Joe, Transformers or Thundercats. So, when I heard yesterday that an iOS game called He-Man: The Most Powerful Game In The Universe was “coming soon” I was actually a little excited.  iOS games are cheap as hell and if I can get a little nostalgia out of it all the better. By the looks of the trailer they have gone with a humorous approach to the game and that is probably the way to go to be honest. Check out the trailer below while I dust off  my action figures and wait for its release.

Attention Star Wars Nerds

I got a little video for all you Star Wars fans. Interestingly I have no idea how people are going to react. The cynic in me expects rage, but I am prepared to be surprised. I kind of like whats going on here with birds and wars fought amongst the stars. Do you find this video to be cute or sacrilege.

A Wrestling Game Has Downloadable Content That Doesn’t Rip You Off Like Capcom Does

This is a column about a subject. A subject first mentioned in the latest edition of BWF Radio, and that is the subject of Downloadable Content, or DLC for short. As this is a wrestling website (Although it will also be seen at those fine folk over at Bored Wrestling Fan), I will focus my attention on the WWE games side of DLC. With that said..

Cue the Opening

BWF Radio 43 – Doink The Clown!

BoredWrestlingFan Radio Episode 43 kicked off with the original Doink The Clown, Matt Borne!  In the interview, Matt chastises Joe for not doing his homework and threatens to hit him with the Whoopie Cushion if they ever meet in person.  Aside from that, he talks about his influences for the Doink character, his thoughts on some other evil clowns, what he would have done differently if he were the guy playing Doink when Dink was introduced, the transition from Big Josh in WCW to Doink in WWF, his relationship with the late Art Barr, and much more.

Afterward, the BWF Radio crew talk wrestling news, including Batista’s MMA debut, Chris Jericho’s WWE future, Shaul Guerrero’s employment status, and much more.  Will John Cena be ready for Hell In a Cell?  If not, is Ryback a suitable replacement?  What’s the status of The Undertaker for WrestleMania 29?  Where did Shawn Daivari learn to choke a guy out like he did to an unruly passenger on a train?  Did Hulk Hogan finally answer The Rock’s WrestleMania 18 question of whether or not he still has a Hulka-strudel?  Tune in to find out!

BoredWrestlingFan Radio Episode 43 (MP3, 1:59:32)

Smackdown 10/05/12: Turkey Day Weekend (unless you’re wrong)

As the world turns it’s attention to Big Bird, and MLB playoffs, or the accurate celebration of Thanksgiving, the WWE is a busy beaver. RAW went head to head with a huge NFL game. The debuting Main Event program in the US market would contend with Presidential Debates and Triple Crown feats. What a great idea! But, Smackdown continues to dwell in it’s miserable timeslot on Friday although now up against two wildcard MLB playoff games, and that means it’s time to hop to it, shall we?
