MPX-Fight to Survive 3-12-11

Fight to Survive is in the books. In the end, I thought it was very solid. The theme there is that a lot of workers are giving everything and experimenting in new ways in the ring (and some of them, outside it). It was PACKED. Every time I go, it seems to get more crowded. This is great news. It opened with a well-done recap. And then Kate introduced $Payday$. I don’t think $Payday$ has done a lot of promos, so what he said was fine. But how he said it lacked. Speaking to a crowd is not easy, and I probably couldn’t do too much better. But I would suggest giving him a mouthpiece or creating an essence to his character to where he doesn’t need to speak. (“A man of few words”, “He’s not there to speak, just to get his payday.”) $Payday$ wanted Carrion Arcane. Mike Dolenz told him that Arcane was already booked. But $Payday$ could have his match. Only it was going to be against Wally Darkmon. For me, this didn’t have the same drama. Wally and $Payday$ are both good guys. While I like getting to see both guys in the ring, it just was not the match I wanted to see (because as a fan, I want both guys to win).

Minecraft Road Trip Episode 3

Hey it’s Sunday and I know most of you are doing very little.  Which is perfect as it gives you an opportunity to watch my latest minecraft video. Ha video, more like screenshot with badly synced audio. Okay with the sarcasm out of my system this weeks episode is a little better than the last two. Watch and enjoy.

PatMan Plays. Ms. Pac-Man TV games system

One of my favourite personal mottos in life is quite simple, if its free its for me. And so when I received the Ms Pac-Man TV game system as a gift years ago I gladly took the retro toy with open arms, and more importantly, an open mind. Sure, at the time I received this little retro device video games were getting more and more complex, however Ms Pac-Man was a childhood favourite of mine, gobbling up as many of my quarters as I power pellets and ghost monsters. After further examination of the packaging, I happily discovered that two more of my favourite arcade games from yesteryear, Galaga and Xevious were also included, along with Pole position and Mappy inside this little system. I knew I was in for some retro fun. Did this little blast from the past live up to my excitement?

Power Poll for the Week Ending: 3/8/11

This week brings a slough of new competitors and grapplers to our online voting project, the Power Poll. Although an episode of iMPACT has already aired, and possibly one from Smackdown, keep in mind the date listed above. Last week didn’t include the win from Sting over on the TNA side of things, and “spoiler,” he somehow didn’t make it this week. However, a sneaky vote by myself (and likely others) vaulted an ROH/indie guy into a spot this week. And when I say “Boom” I don’t mean Kofi Kingston! Also, you won’t believe who is not on the list this week… read on smarks…. read on.

Wonderpod Episode 55

Friday is finally here and so is another episode of Wonderpod. The original crew is back in full force for this one. I apologize to PatMan right off the top. I just didn’t feel like sticking avatars in this banner. Before we hit the text highlights, let me send out my thoughts and well wishes to the people of Japan. If you got the time donate to the Red Cross or the appropriate relief fund.

iMPACT: 03/10/11

Last week TNA shot their proverbial load all over my television screen like they’d been free-basing Charlie Sheen all night. What will they have in store for us this week? Did they actually have anything planned for the show other than the Jersey Shore’s Angelina having a match? Do they even remember they have a PPV on Sunday? Doubtful. But there’s only one terrible way to find out.

Sunny to the Hall of Fame

Monday night the WWE announced they were inducting Sunny into the WWE Hall-of-Fame. They showed a video package reviewing who she was and what she did. I realized that I could not explain to my wife what she meant to wrestling and what she meant to me as a fan during the era she reigned supreme. She was Sunny.

Proximity Twitter

Hello there twitter, I am writing this specifically for the blurb that goes out with our RSS feed. As I have stated in the past I hate writing introductions for these posts. I don’t want to jump right into whats on my mind. I still have to make sure the intro makes some sense for our twitter followers via RSS. Maybe I should just start writing clown penis over and over each morning. That or do a customer service like written bit, that I use every time. Internet introductions 101 with professor McGee is now over, on to the meat of the post.

A NEW CHALLENGER HAS ARRIVED

I was told to do an introduction post. Apologies to those of you expecting actual content, you’ll have to sit through another regrettably personal diatrabe.
